Fabulous vintage mid century copper and brass sculpture of a paddleboat or steamboat. This is very large measuring approximately 46" in length and approximately 22.5" tall. Paddle wheel is actually made of wood. Copper body with decorative brass finials, rails, and poles. This is a heavy quality piece of art! Very detailed. I have sold several C. Jere pieces over the years and this is made in the Jere fashion with the exception of the wood wheel which I have not seen before. The Jere signature is not on this piece. It has the number 7/31 which I have to assume is an edition number. It also has a signature but I cannot definitively make it out. Possibly the initials J S. Not sure if it may have been made by one of the artists at Artisan House (the company that produced C Jere) or if it is a completely different artist. This was a piece out of an estate. Most of our products are antique, vintage, or preloved items and as such might have imperfections. Many of our items are rare and hard to find.
